‍Dr Marcus Dillistone FRSA.
Marcus’s first voyage was in 2009, twelve weeks aboard the Seabourn Odyssey during her inaugural season, delivering lectures, hosting dinners, and as a fun panellist on the infamous Liar's Club. He came back with strong reviews and a clear sense that the social life of a luxury voyage: the conversations, the dinners, and the exchanges ashore suited him as naturally as a his time directing films on set. It's not hard to see why. 

‍Marcus has directed Oscar-winning stars such as Sir John Mills, Lord Attenborough, and Glenda Jackson. He has produced music for an Olympic Opening Ceremony. He was granted a Royal Premiere at BAFTA where he hosted The Princess Royal. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth borrowed one of his films to screen to the Royal family at Christmas. He has been a creative consultant to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood.

‍He has created two ice suites at the Arctic Icehotel at -40 degrees and ran rapids on the Yukon at twenty-one. He has a PhD, over 160 films, more than 60 international awards, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He has also co-hosted an evening with Stephen Fry, which suggests a certain confidence in his ability to hold a room.
